VNY Entertainment is an international music services vendor based in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

Where to begin with VNY entertainment? We can start by saying you will not find a more well rounded and flexible music vendor than this for any event. We used VNY for our wedding in Nashville recently which we managed to have right before the world and country shut down due to the pandemic. Before getting into the process and music itself, let us first be clear that the husband and wife team of Vinay and April Shroff are two of the most genuine, friendly and happy people you will meet. Putting aside the service they provide, we can guarantee you that you will come away from utilizing their services with two friends that you will be grateful for having met and worked with.

From the first phone call onwards, they put forth a great deal of time and energy into understanding what we wanted and how best to execute it. Their passion for both music and service was immediately evident and they ensured that we were comfortable with the process, pricing and overall musical goals for our wedding weekend before putting a plan in place. Before getting into their impeccable performance throughout the weekend itself, I can say with 100% certainty that there is literally no other music vendor that could have provided the breadth of musical diversity that we wanted for the wedding. For starters, unlike a typical Indian wedding, we were looking for a country music duo to play our reception cocktail hour. Every other vendor we spoke to made clear that this was not something they could provide nor was it something they were willing to assist with. When I asked Vinay, he did not hesitate, and instead was thrilled about the idea and immediately indicated that he would be able to provide several options to play live music during the cocktail hour. Most importantly, he made clear that the additional live act would be included within our VNY contract and would not require any outside negotiating, sound equipment or contractual agreements to secure. Vinay also offered us a wide array of other options that you simply cannot get through one vendor elsewhere, including live baraat band, live garba band and even a horn ensemble for any of the events. While we did not end up choosing those options, the simple fact that we were able to think outside the box musically for our wedding based on VNY’s offerings was such a welcome change from the other DJ’s and vendors we spoke with. Most importantly, Vinay is an expert dhol player and therefore this was another item that we did not have to worry about finding separate from our DJ as every other vendor we spoke to required. As we neared the wedding, VNY provided easy to access instructions and documents to fill in with dance music and other musical requests we were looking for. They also followed through on the country act options which resulted in us picking a duo that we enjoyed and ended up being incredible for the cocktail hour. Vinay and April were available throughout the months leading up to the wedding despite a busy schedule and even organized facetime meetings for us to keep in touch. They answered any questions or concerns we had promptly, helped us find a baraat horse vendor and did venue walk through’s to ensure they were fully prepared and comfortable with the space.

When the wedding weekend arrived, the VNY team was ready and on time to every single event. Their equipment is top notch and they exceeded our expectations with the musical offerings at each event we held. For the garba/sangeet night, Vinay was able to create an amazing blend and atmosphere both with his dhol and with the selection of music. His team also provided wall lighting which perfectly lit up the room. One of the great pleasures of the weekend was seeing so many people on the dance floor and this started immediately with the garba on the first night. At the baraat, Vinay had a pre-mixed list of music which was exactly what I was looking for and had every single person involved celebrating and dancing despite some rain. In addition, he played the dhol throughout the baraat, did a great job of leading the procession and made sure everyone was moving and dancing throughout. During the wedding ceremony, Vinay played the music requested by our parents and directed our guests just as we had scheduled. The reception, as previously mentioned, included the great cocktail hour country duo and then Vinay crushed the night behind the dj booth and with the dhol. By the end of the weekend, multiple guests were approaching asking us who the DJ was and where we found him. Everyone raved about the music, the dhol playing and Vinay’s innate ability to interject on the mic at the right moments and ensure there was never a dull period. Throughout the weekend, April was also always present to ensure we were moving things along, that everything was organized and that our music schedule did not stray at all.

We could continue this post for many more pages, but the bottom line is that the only reason you should not choose VNY is if you are at such a remote location that they simply cannot provide their services. Otherwise, they will work with you, make you comfortable before the event itself and will provide you with a musical experience at your event that you will remember forever. We cannot wait to use VNY for an event in the future and will continue to recommend them to any and everyone!
